How to Wear Summer Dresses

On a super hot day nothing is better than pulling on your favorite sundress. It’s light and airy and you don’t have to worry about your thighs chafing in tight pants! We’ve looked around and found the best ways to fashion your sundresses this summer!

Now let’s talk shoes. 2016 was all about the strappy gladiator sandals. While those still can be seen around, ankle-tie sandals are much more popular this season. Most of these sandals include a block heel, also very trendy this year. If you want a more casual look you can always rely on your favorite pair of sneakers or flats, depending on the occasion.

Bright Colors

Summer is the perfect season to try out those bold neon colors you’ve always wanted to try! That bright yellow sundress is the perfect statement piece for any backyard BBQ, or lunch out with the girls. But we’re not just talking about the dress itself. Adding bright accessories like a neon pink chunky bracelet or bright blue headband is the perfect way to lighten up a darker dress and make it summer ready. If you are the girl who loves her dark navy blues and blacks, this tip is for you!

Don’t be afraid of a little color, use this season to try something new.

Denim Vest

The ever versatile denim vest is the perfect addition to any sundress. Who wants to wear a full length cardigan in the summer? A denim vest is a great way to layer your look while not adding to much heat or weight to the outfit. If you want to switch to an evening look, try wearing a sheer or lace cardigan or shawl. Make sure the fabric is light and breathable!
